At Guttman Energy, we believe in a little thing called manners. (Remember those?) Many basic manners are missing from a lot of workplaces today. The first on that list being “treat others the way you want to be treated.”
What does that mean, exactly? At Guttman, it’s more than a plaque on the wall to validate a team member’s hard work. It’s more than someone bringing doughnuts and coffee for the office (although, we definitely do that on occasion).
It means that we respect and value our coworkers. I get to work with intelligent professionals who help to make our company a success every day, helping our customers buy fuel better. We have over 200 employees at Guttman who bring the experience and know-how that’s made our company what it is today. And we’re continuously striving for improvement—because that’s the only way we know how to do it since our business started back in 1931 in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
Now, where am I going with this, you ask? So here it is. Guttman Energy has been named one of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette’s Top Workplaces for mid-size companies for the second year in a row.
For this, I am immensely proud.
The Top Workplaces program allows area employees to voluntarily nominate their employer based on criteria that includes work/life balance, company leadership and the level of appreciation and engagement.
We value our people as they value each other and our customers. It’s amazing to see collaborative teams work together to help find intelligent solutions for our customers, and you can see it in their many success stories.
I guess what I am trying to say is thank you—to our dedicated team members, whose hard work and industry know-how is astonishing, we couldn’t do it without you.
