It would be great if we were able to post a story about how Hurricane/Tropical Storm Florence was a complete miss or that the impact was much lighter than expected. Unfortunately as some know that is far from the case. Florence has devastated the Southeast primarily in the Carolina's and parts of Virginia.
Oil prices are trading lower today primarily because our industry is looking at the weakening Hurricane Florence more so as petroleum demand destruction rather than a supply disruption event.
Last weekend we all welcomed the month of September, Labor Day celebrations and the unfortunate realization that summer has ended. Though technically the summer doesn’t end until the equinox on September 22nd, the Labor Day weekend traditionally marks the end of summer for schools, as well as the close of the summer driving season.
